Ending with a 12 - 4 standing, 10th in the nation, 2nd in the state, receiving  sports club of the year, coming 2nd place in Division II, and made it to National's for the first time in the clubs history. We also had one of our seniors Ashley Quarford being selected onto the All Tournament team at Nationals in Virginia Beach. She was selected from the 12 teams at the tournament and is among the best players across the nation for Division II. Quarford was also selected as a First Team All League Midfielder this season. Congratulations for your accomplishments Ashley and thank you for your 4 years of contribution to the team! Another Coug receiving acknowledgement from Nationals was Freshman Sandy Wall receiving the 2015 All - Academic achieving a 3.70 GPA or higher. Way to keep up the academics Coug! Some other achievements from the girls were awards given out to some of our lady Cougs within Division II. Receiving Division II 1st team All - League Awards would be junior Nicole Robertson for defense and freshman Andrea Zepeda for defense. For Division II 2nd team All - League would be freshman Emma Kirker for midfield. The CSUSM Women's Club Lacrosse program has been growing immensely within this year. With many of the ladies being involved outside of the community trying to grow the game along with the program. During the fall many of the girls presented demos amongst thousands of middle school student within the North County community showing off their skills, presenting the club to the students, and speaking to them what it means to be a college athlete. Many of our girls coach trying to grow the game along with teaching their skills to younger laxers. Last but not least, freshman Hannah Snider presented the game of lacrosse to a class of elementary students explaining her passion for the game and what it takes to be a college laxer. Congratulations lady cougs for such amazing accomplishments this season. We hope to see bigger and better things for next season!
